Hi Y'all; Just thought I'd blog you while we're at Laurie's place over Christmas. I couldn't believe how cute Joey would be, but when you think about it, how could I expect anything else?
This year, Christmas was both the same and different. The location was different, and the participants were too, but the traditional "tourtier" was consumed at Christmas eve dinner. And I made a terrific new Caesar salad, if I do say so myself. You can make it too. Just go on line to Nick Stellino's website, and he'll demonstrate it for you. And my egg nog was great too. I'm afraid that I might have started some new traditions.
I have to send you a message about what Christmas and you all mean to me,. Please indulge me for a moment. I truly believe that gratitude is a gift that God has blessed me with. It truly makes life worth living. It brings me such joy and peace every time I consider how good God has been to me. You know how much I love your mother. But I doubt that you know the extent of my love for you all. I have a hard time expressing it, and when I try, I do it somewhat clumsily. So I have to resort to script. My message is: pray for the gift of Thanksgiving, and if you have it, dwell on all that God has blessed you with, as often as you can. And give yourself over to God, who loves you more than you love yourself. Put your trust in Him, and you won't ever go wrong. Follow His promptings, pray for guidance, let love rule your lives. When we put others before ourselves, God rewards us with peace of mind and joy in our hearts. I could go on and on, but these things have already been said in the Bible. Read it. I love you.

Shane really has rhythm! I know this is a little dark to see but still funny - especially Abby's comments!

Hi from Dad
I found a note that I made myself a while ago about how to communicate via blog, so here I am.
I went to a new chiropractor today who has a machine that decompresses the spine, and should give some relief to my back and more mobility to my legs. It seems to have had some slight effect, but I'll have to go back a few more times before I can say that it works for sure. It would certainly beat surgery.
Mom and I had a nice visit with Nina, John, and Jay last week. Mom is now a certified Myers-Briggs teacher. I hope that she can make her tuition back anyway! We're planning to go back on 8/18 for a Lauzon family reunion. And to eat some more lobster!
See most of you on 8/10. Sorry the others can't be here to celebrate with us. But please pray for your "dear old Dad", so that I can soon drop the "old" in "dear old".
I love you all, and thank the Lord each day for the gift of you all. I pray for you each individually. Please do the same for me.

News you should know about
Hi boys and girls; I recently got some info on car tires that could save lives. I don't think I can pass it along on the blog, so I'm emailing it to each of you. Jeff, you once told me that you don't open emails. Open this on. It's that important.

First Communion
Hi all - sorry it's been a while. We've been busy with softball, tball, and Madison's First Communion. For those of you who weren't there, it was a really nice day. I'll include some pictures so you can see what we've been up to lately. I've not been the best photographer lately, something I'll probably regret in future years. Anyway, hope to see many of you again soon!
