Christmas 2008 in Ohio

Hi Y'all; Just thought I'd blog you while we're at Laurie's place over Christmas. I couldn't believe how cute Joey would be, but when you think about it, how could I expect anything else?
This year, Christmas was both the same and different. The location was different, and the participants were too, but the traditional "tourtier" was consumed at Christmas eve dinner. And I made a terrific new Caesar salad, if I do say so myself. You can make it too. Just go on line to Nick Stellino's website, and he'll demonstrate it for you. And my egg nog was great too. I'm afraid that I might have started some new traditions.
I have to send you a message about what Christmas and you all mean to me,. Please indulge me for a moment. I truly believe that gratitude is a gift that God has blessed me with. It truly makes life worth living. It brings me such joy and peace every time I consider how good God has been to me. You know how much I love your mother. But I doubt that you know the extent of my love for you all. I have a hard time expressing it, and when I try, I do it somewhat clumsily. So I have to resort to script. My message is: pray for the gift of Thanksgiving, and if you have it, dwell on all that God has blessed you with, as often as you can. And give yourself over to God, who loves you more than you love yourself. Put your trust in Him, and you won't ever go wrong. Follow His promptings, pray for guidance, let love rule your lives. When we put others before ourselves, God rewards us with peace of mind and joy in our hearts. I could go on and on, but these things have already been said in the Bible. Read it. I love you.
