Gramp Lauzon's Tomato Soup

This soup can be made with any kind of tomato base. My Dad used V8 vegetable juice. I have also made it with crushed tomaotes. The first thing to do is finely chop one or two onions and saute them with about 1/2 stick on butter. One the onions are transparent, add the tomato juic and about four portions of water. One part tomato to four parts of water. Bring to a boil and add fine noodles. Cook until tender. Season with salt, pepper, garlic salt, whatever. Now here's the most important part. Before serving, add about 1/2 cup of seaoned bread crumbs and stir. Should be good!

I am glad Laurie had a chance to try it out. My memory was off about the amount of water. MOM
